This workshop is for therapists and researchers who are interested in applying the technique of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) in clinical or research settings. This workshops covers technical and neurophysiological theory and offers an overview of the state of research, presenting a rationale for why tDCS is used in certain conditions and the evidence-base for its application.
Participants will also gain familiarity with applying tDCS in practice with particular focus on safety aspects in device configuration.
Our experienced presenters will demonstrate appropriate tDCS montages as recommended by the current state of research for the following conditions:
Neuropathic Pain in the lower limbs
Addiction, substance abuse and craving
The participant is expected to have at least a Masters level in Human Sciences (e.g. Psychology, Medicine). In cases where the education level is comparable, participation can be considered by the trainers.

Our office is only a 5 – 10-minute walk from either Wynyard or Circular Quay train stations, or a 15 – 20-minute walk from the bus terminals at Martin Place.
If you are flying into Sydney, the train from Domestic or International Airport Terminals will get you to Circular Quay station in under 25 minutes. You will need an Opal card to travel.
Casual Parking rates in the CBD can be expensive. The nearest to the clinic is the Wilson Car Park at Australia Square, 31 Bond St, Sydney (Rates: 0.5 – 1.0 hours, $29.00; 1.0 – 2.0 hours $59.00.)
neuroCare Group provides a Certificate of Attendance as a hard copy to each workshop participant. These are distributed at the end of the workshop. The 1-day tDCS Workshop accounts for 7 hours of learning and will be documented on the certificate.
