Prue has significant experience in treating eating disorders and body image issues. She has a special interest in attachment and relationship difficulties in families and parenting challenges including development and adjustment to parenting.

Prue Wright is an experienced clinical psychologist and family therapist and has worked in private practice and the public and private health systems here in Sydney and in London.

Prior to being a psychologist, Prue worked as a primary school teacher in Northern Beaches area. She has always been passionate about nurturing and encouraging the minds of young children.

Prue is warm, compassionate and friendly and creates an environment of safety and trust for her groups or individual clients.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Prue is experienced providing assessment and evidence-based treatment for eating disorders and issues associated with body image. She is focused on child and adolescent mental health as well as anxiety, depression, chronic pain and complex trauma in children, adolescents and adults.

While Prue utilises a number of therapies, she draws primarily on Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy to empower clients to reach their potential.  Treatment is tailor-made for each individual client/family.

Prue has a special interest in attachment and relationship difficulties in families and parenting challenges including development and adjustment to parenting.

She helps families focus on the emotional connection between children and parents through facilitating emotion coaching techniques.

Prue is experienced in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, eating disorders, chronic pain and intense emotions and distress for children, adolescents and adults.

She is experienced in offering support for parents, particularly with managing oppositontal, highly active and hard to manage children. Helping couples and individuals prepare and adjust to parenting.

Prue offers Family Therapy and can help with attachment and relationship difficulties in families including families in conflict, blended families, separation anxiety and attachment difficulties.

Prue is an AHPRA board-approved clinical Supervisor and offers clinical supervision services for provisional psychologists, clinical registrar programs and for generalist and clinical psychologists.
