Joanne has always had an interest in brain-behaviour relationships and its contribution to human behaviour and cognition. She shows compassion and empathy working closely with adults, adolescents, children and their families, particularly in the area of ADHD, anxiety disorders, learning, behaviour and cognition difficulties.
Prior to working as a Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar, Joanne worked for more than 30 years as a Registered Nurse, predominantly in Emergency Departments (Paediatric and Adult) for NSW Health. She has also spent time as a volunteer activities coordinator for Autism Spectrum Australia (ASPECT).
Joanne also currently works for Royal Far West (PPT) as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing family support, cognitive assessments, and behavioural and psychological interventions for children aged from six to 12 years of age with a history of complex trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual impairment, and learning difficulties.
