On attained his master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at La Trobe University and has subsequently commenced his further registrar training in the field of neuropsychology. His experience has included working in community based paediatric clinic, as well as various public hospitals including Monash Health, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Western Health across acute psychiatric wards, emergency departments, neurology departments, and inpatient rehabilitation wards.
On is passionate about working with individuals who have a diverse background; he enjoys personalising treatment, incorporating empathic listening skills to ascertain each person’s individual story. His wider goal is to instil greater public confidence in the mental health system by adopting evidence-based interventions in his therapy.
On’s approach involves integrating his knowledge in neurology, psychiatry and psychology. He utilises a comprehensive assessment process to make a sound diagnosis. He adopts an individualised and strength-based approach in his practice.
On is published in various international peer-reviewed scientific journals in the fields of health psychology, neuropsychology, psychiatry and the human cognition; when it comes to recommending neuromodulation, he ensures a comprehensive assessment is done to determine their suitability to the intervention. He is open-minded when exploring treatment options with his clients, and enjoys collaborating with his clients to find the best possible treatment plan.
