Andrew has an appreciation for the difference it can make to find a genuine and understanding connection while fostering a supportive space to help individuals and families cope, recover and move forward during times of difficulty.

Accessing therapeutic services is often confronting and it is normal to be unsure on how to best achieve change. Sometimes, clients come with many past attempts at change that just have worked the way they hoped. Andrew believes in using the early consultations to fully comprehend the circumstances and contributing factors to his clients concerns and provide a supportive and compassionate place to plan the difficult steps towards achieving a better life. He offers tailored professional care that recognises the unique personal, situational and interpersonal challenges that contribute to times of difficulty.  Andrew is dedicated to working as a team with individuals and families to make meaningful changes within their lives.

Andrew has experience offering a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions. These include cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, behavioural therapy and parent management training. He has been trained by neuroCare to provide neuromodulation treatments that he uses in conjunction with therapeutic interventions.

Most recently he has been working as a Psychologist across various private practice settings, which offered the chance to develop strong skills in administering comprehensive psychological assessments, implementing therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and adults, as well as supporting parents and families. Prior to private practice, Andrew worked in NGOs, remote services and hospital settings providing both individual and group therapy.

He has completed a number of post-graduate qualifications to develop his expertise and gain accreditation as a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. His most recent qualification is the Master of Psychology (Clinical) and he is actively working towards achieving endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.

Andrew understands that traditional approaches to psychological treatment may not be able to fully address the physiological and neurological components of mental health and is open to exploring neuromodulation techniques with his clients. These interventions have a promising history and growing body of evidence to indicate that they are beneficial in the long-term for targeting many areas, such as improving sleep, mood, attention and hyperactivity.

At neuroCare Clinic in Frenchs Forest, Andrew typically works with children aged around 10 years and above, as well as their families, in addition to adolescents and adults. He works with many presentations, including anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, learning problems, ASD, as well as behavioural difficulties.

Andrew also offers comprehensive psychological assessments of giftedness, cognitive function, academic achievement, learning difficulties and ADHD.
