Medical Practitioners, Researchers and Mental Health Professionals in Melbourne are invited to join a presentation & Q&A session in August with Dr Martijn Arns, leading researcher in the areas of TMS in Depression, OCD and Neurofeedback in ADHD and Sleep Disorders.
Dr Martijn Arns has published more than 120 scientific publications, covering the area of brain imaging (QEEG, ERPS), chronobiology, sleep, and has developed evidence-based guidelines for applying Neurofeedback and TMS therapies, safe, sustainable and medication-free treatment options for Psychiatric intervention . In 2006 he founded Brainclinics Psychology Practice in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which has since become a model for neuroCare therapy centres worldwide, now in Australia.

Dr Arns will be in Melbourne to present at an educational meeting and dinner event Neuromodulation in Australia: New Approaches in Mental Healthcare. This event is open to medical and allied health professionals, and covers topics such as the evidence-base for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a therapy for Depression and OCD, Australian guidelines and exclusion-criteria for TMS as well as latest evidence and research in our medication-free interventions for mental health. This presentation is held in collaboration with North Western Private Clinic and the Western Specialist Centre in Melbourne and is accredited for 4 category 2 points by RACGP.
